What color Christmas Tree am I?

So I had to do this one it was just too great to pass up and I love my result!!!

You Should Have a Purple Christmas Tree

For you, the holidays represent a time of creativity and expression.

There's no way you'd do something bland simply for tradition's sake.

You are an independent person, and you definitely do the holidays your own way.

And you're decadent enough to go way over the top with any unusual holiday ideas you have.

Your purple tree would look great with: Purple lights and ornaments

You should spend Christmas Eve watching: A Christmas Story

What you should bake for Santa: "Kitchen sink" cookies - with a ton of things in them

Why I should never agree to type someone else's papers

So I spent probably six or so hours typing a paper for James. I really do not want to have to do that ever again. The problem for me in doing this is, I cannot read and type (yeah, I kinda have my own style of hunt and peck) so it takes me FOR-EV-AH!!!

It was a forever long paper too, and he jumps all over the place, making it difficult to follow--not to mention, I do not find submarines to be all that fascinating.

At least when I write my own papers, I know what it was I was thinking or am thinking, so I can just go along and do it.

On a side note, we went for a walk with Foster today, he's such a nut, but we were trying to wear him and his nails out. (That is what the vet recommended to wear his toenails down some was to take him for walks). He was wore out and slept for a while, but man, it's like he gets a little power nap and is ready to go again.

He did do something funny though. Mom was trying to sort through and put away some papers and he wanted to play. So he bounces up where mom had her folders and they slid with him all over the place. Then later he yoinked mom's chair. Goofy dog, he really needs to go to puppy school to learn some good behaviors.

Open Foot... Insert Mouth

They say that when you post things on the Internet it can come back to bite you in the butt. Well, apparently I have finally done it and now I am apologizing to those I offended, slighted, hurt or in any other way inconvenienced.

I wanted to use my blog as an opportunity to have other get some insight to me and who I am. I am not always a good person, I have faults and make mistakes, in fact I feel like I tend to screw up more often than I do things right, but that is not my point right now.

Yes, I posted something that said a lot about how I was feeling. I have wanted to post other similar things in the past, but didn't for fear of reprimand, revenge, whatever. I think I will communicate better and I will try not to post things that might be construed as hurtful, mean, painful, or negative. That leaves only happy, fluffy and good things, so you may have to hear a lot about scrapping for a while, with perhaps a little bit of Foster (when he's been good of course). I'll leave the rest to my journals, etc and work more on my humility and forgiveness. I needed to work more on those anyway.

Sorry all, and please forgive me, B

Edited or Censored?

So I received a request (albeit roundabout...) to remove some information from my blog. I partially misunderstood request (as I was feeling a little slighted about how I received said request) and got a little miffed about how I was supposed to figure out how to do what was requested.

Well, I sort of did as requested, and while I can understand in some ways (because unfortunately we live in a world full of people who who choose to do unethical and criminal things) what I do not understand is why we continue to skirt around just talking to one another. Why could I not be asked directly? So I changed things into my own way, which sort of works for me.

When I originally started putting up some things on this blog, I did so for my own benefit, not for the benefit of anyone else. I (in my naivety and somewhat optimism) forgot that there are icky people out there and would potentially exploit my info... Sometimes I can be a real Pollyanna, but then sometimes I can also be a real Scrooge and never see the glass as half full.

So, it's done, not exactly as requested--because I am still me and have a slight rebellious streak--but it is done. Hope ya'll are happy now. I'm bummed, but I guess I'll blame that on those who choose the wrong.

Whatever...

Why ice cream can be hazardous to your marriage

Yes, I said it, and I am not referring to the potential for weight gain and the loss of attraction.

I am actually referring to the fact that I wanted to go get ice cream tonight at Maggie Moo's. Evidently James didn't really want to go but went anyway. He had to drive because I had taken out my contacts when one weirded out on me (and since James had sat on my glasses and broke them, I have not had them repaired yet--so I still cannot wear those). He stayed in the car with Foster. I went in to get my ice cream and horror of horrors, their corporate had discontinued my favorite flavor--A-moo-retto. The JERKS!!!

So I agonized over what to get and they had me try a few flavors, the last being raspberry sorbet, which just ruined my whole palate. So I just decided not to get anything. When I went back out to the car, James looked at me and got all mad and disgusted because I didn't get anything and told me he had not even wanted to come in the first place and that going to get ice cream with me was just as bad as having to be with me if I was picking out cards (which I have not done in ages because I prefer to make my cards now). So we rode home in silence and he stomped off downstairs. I came up to write in here and I played with the dog, who could sense the unhappiness on both our parts.

That is why ice cream an be hazardous to your marriage.

Can almost relax...

We got most of everything else moved out yesterday... I have my baby tv and computer that I think mom is going to have to go with James to get.

I told her she had to be the mean mommy.

I'll write more later.

CKU-Crazy Kooks University?

This last week Creative Keepsakes magazine hosted an event in Provo called Creative Keepsakes University or CKU for short. Working at a scrapbook store, I was blessed(?) enough to come into contact with many of the women who had come to participate in the event.

While I love my job dearly, as well as the hobby of paper crafting and the like, I am not totally sure I wish to be included with some of the women to whom I came into contact.

Monday, before the actual even even started we had customers in the store demanding they be given a discount because they were to be CKU attendees. Wednesday, the day the event actually had pre-registration and such, they came in without their coupons demanding their discount. When they came back, coupon in hand they demanded that we multiply the use of said coupon. If it wasn't one thing it was another.

Don't get me wrong, I met many nice wonderful women who have similar interests as myself. They were kind and gracious for any assistance I or a fellow coworker offered. But those few "rotten apples" really spoiled my appetite to potentially participate in future CKU events if I were ever to have the opportunity.

So I will just keep plugging along, doing my own thing, I've pretty much always done it this way anyway, so why should I change course now?

Until next time...
