We got home fine last night from Pinedale. A little bit of snow here and there as well as some snow covered stretch of highway before we got to Kemmerer (not to mention the idiot driver with Utah plate that acted as though they had never driven in the snow before...), but over all the trip home was okay.
Last night though, I managed to not sleep so well because I coughed all night long, so when it came time to get up to go up for James's clinic appointment, well, I was less than thrilled with the idea of getting up to go. So I didn't, which turned out okay, because he had to do a glucose test and it took several hours. They determined his blood sugars are up again, so they want him checking his sugars regularly. This might work better if he hadn't likely lost his glucometer while he was in work release. Also, his appointment wasn't really today, it was supposed to have been March 26, but since he was there he did PFTs and the glucose test, which is probably okay since we will likely be without insurance after the 28th anyway. His PFTs were fine, it was his sugars.
So, as for me, I slept for a long time, apparently I needed it. Then I read a book and finally got around to getting dressed. We took mom's car back after James got off of work and went to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things. Stopped at Albertson's to get french bread, where I saw Kathleen (she used to work at Cabela's until she fell one day). She says she still does not have full use of her right arm and likely never will, but she was a little taken aback when I told her of my plight. Which reminds me I was going to write a letter to corporate about my termination and how everything went down with that.
We had steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, and garlic bread for dinner. I fixed it, although James tenderized the steak, he put too much steak tenderizer on them though, so the steak ended up being too salty for him to eat. I ate a good portion of mine, before I was too full. Although I cannot seem to get enough water now. That's okay though, cause I haven't had enough water to drink today anyway.
We watched Prison Break, James watched Heros, and The Black Donnellys. I watched Two and a Half Men and CSI:Miami. The news will be on shortly and I am thinking about what I can do with the leftover-too-salty steak. I also am thinking about how it is supposed to snow tomorrow and how I really need to go to LDS Employment sometime this week. I also need to read my UI stuff from the state and apply for a couple of jobs.
Well, I didn't feel the greatest today and so I guess the extra sleep was warranted. Keeping up with an almost two-year-old is hard work, not to mention feeling bad for the sick five-year-old and fawning over the newborn, but it's what an Aunt has to do right?
We had a great time at Bob's house and I must say James talking about moving there threw me for a loop, but then he clarified some of his thoughts to me on the way home. I know I miss Bob, T and the kids and it is hard to be so far away. James really enjoyed holding Mackenzie and having her lay on his chest and sleep, I think he even felt the pangs of wanting a child of his own, but is resigned himself to never having the option. I keep wondering if someone might consider trying to extract sperm from him to see if they could try in vitro with me. Problem is there is no real way we could afford it, so it seems we will forever be punished by the IRS for not having any children...
Until next time...

Newborn, Nephew and Niece
We got to Pinedale on Friday night. It was a pretty decent drive, considering the weather was supposed to be a lot worse. I saw several herd of deer, an enormous herd of antelope, and lots of dead deer along the side of the road. I also saw a few bunnies.
Yesterday (Saturday) Donna was my buddy most of the day. She's quite a character and if you can actually get the binky out of her mouth she can be sort of chatty. We played and we colored and she ate chicken.
Poor RJ though, he woke up at 6 am not feeling well, had a fever. Then around 9 am he was throwing up, Teresa was hollering at me to come get Donna cause she was in the thick of it (not literally--but she wanted to see what was going on). He came out and laid in the recliner chair. He did throw up again later, poor guy. He felt pretty miserable yesterday. He's feeling a ton better today.
I think one of the best parts of yesterday was holding Mackenzie though, that or watching her sleep with Uncle James, he held her for a long time. She just laid on his chest and slept. It was very sweet. It's funny because the first time I offered for him to hold Mackenzie, he didn't want to, he was scared to, but then when he finally held her, well then he wanted to keep her. Once he even took her from me, telling her what a beautiful baby she is, it was very sweet.
Then there was Donna taking Uncle James's nose, she did it twice, it was cute. Even when Uncle James told RJ he loved him, RJ said it back. Uncle James has needed his loves from his kidlets, it helps make him feel better.
Then today (Sunday) Donna was so sweet, she kept wanting to give baby kisses. She's go up, put her lips on Kenzie's head and then pull back and make a smacking sound with her lips. She's so sweet she loves her baby sister. Then she had me put just a little bit of make-up on her, so she was pretty (I hardly put anything on her, plus it was hard to put lipstick on her since she had slobbery lips from her bink being in her mouth--but she thought I put it on, so that's what counts).
RJ is playing his new Star Wars Lego game in his room and we are watching a movie. I know at some point we have to head out for home, but I am not sure when that will be...
Apparently mom bought matching Easter dresses for the girls in St. George. She said they have pink eyelet and little flowers and are just little cotton dresses that are cute, not frilly. She sounded excited.
Anyway, I've rambled quite a bit here but I wanted to write some of this down. Anyway, I say anyway way too much, but maybe that is a topic for another post, another day.
Until next time...

A little bit of snow...a lot of cold
We got a little bit of snow today, don't know how much Salt Lake County got. But man oh man to go from 50's yesterday to cold cold cold today, well, the wind started in last night and it reminded me of Wyoming as hard as it was blowing that storm in.
James managed to work it out so we could leave earlier in the day. Yay!! At least we won't be fighting with rush hour traffic. Of course, that's provided I get on the ball and get things done, so that means no more blogging for now.
Until later....

A New Niece
She looks a lot like her Grandpa Dave and her Great-Grandma Donna, as well as her older brother and sister. And she's wearing Aunt B-Jo's favoritce color. Hopefully the outfit I got for her will fit for St Patrick's Day, although her mommy can dress her in it everyday for as long as she wants, it's cute it says rub my belly for good luck.
We're going to go up tomorrow, hopefully Uncle James can find someone to cover his Saturday shift, I'm not sure who he'll have to promise what to, but I hope it works out so he can go too, otherwise I'll go by myself.
I've got work to do, so I'll be on my way for today, but until next time, keep this thought in mind...
It is not length of life, but depth of life.

Some people need to learn some manners
I went to that interview today. Now mind you that they called me because they pulled my resumé from the Department of Workforce Services site. So when I get there a not-very-nice receptionist girl asks if I filled out an application online. I tell her no, they called me because they got my resumé. She rolls her eyes and says I'll have to fill one out. So she takes me to a room and sits me at the computer and then tells me not only do I have to fill out the application, but I have to take a typing test as well. So I decided that I want to just be up front and say, do I really need to do all this, because number one I do not care for Sprint as a company (from past dealings with them) and number two I highly doubt they are going to pay me what I will need to make an hour to accept a job from them. She looks at me and with this attitude voice says, why didn't you tell them that on the phone when they called? I tell her that I was in the middle of something else so I agreed to come, and than after having thought about it realized that it was not likely something I was interested in. That I was only asking so I did not waste my time or theirs as no one mentioned filling out an application to me on the phone. When I was telling James this he asked if I told her to lose the attitude, I said no but I should've huh. I may consider calling them or something, just to say she was not very personable and rather rude in my estimation.
I had to get that off of my chest, I do feel a little better... for now anyway.
Anyway, just my two cents for today.

If Susie can so can I...
I figure if Susie can then I can too. That way maybe I can just type this once or so and direct people to the latest news, right. Plus, Ross on the Tonight Show blogs as well, and I can be at least as annoying as Ross if not more so (ha ha ha--that's a joke).
I was so excited to go to church today, yay!!! Without the pressures of I only get to go only so often and I am not racing trying to get something done on what may be the only day off I have feeling. It's been great.
For those of you who do not know, I lost my job on Monday, February 12. And while typically losing your job is a bad thing, I am not worried. In fact I am at peace, it's been like night and day.
Tomorrow I am supposed to go to a job interview. It's for Teleperformance USA--a telephone marketing company or something, they want me to take incoming calls for Sprint, I am hoping my dislike of Sprint and my telling not work for less than $12 or $13 an hour will make them say thanks but no thanks. So we shall see.
I really need to go check the dryer and start it for round two (nothing ever dries on the first time in our dryer--except the cheap blankets I washed recently) and James needs clean jeans to wear for work in the morning, plus the other load in the washer needs to have fabric softener and a second rinse. So I will try to get to this again tomorrow. I guess I'll use this to talk about some of the interesting things I come across as I look for a new job. Just pray I can find something more in line with my degree or something more service oriented. That reminds me too, or at least the news did, this Tuesday is Mardi Gras, I think mom and I need to have something Mardi Gras-ish for dinner, I'll have to remember to ask her. Hey this can be like my mental notebook too, I am thinking I like the sound of that, at least then I will know where my mental notepad is...
